DIEGO SILVEIRA

MARGARET BIRT

EDITOR

SPECIAL EFFECTS EDITOR

When Diego first got his very own VHS, he was 13 years old. He already owned some adventure movies like Indiana Jones and Star Wars. It was when he realized that he could edit these movies using his personal VHS along with his parents' VHS, that a new world opened up in front of him. Now, after 8 years editing and Camera Op. professionally for TV and Web, and in the last 2 years, as a Film student with Humber College, he believes that to participate in the movie process is a very rewarding process. Movies help form part of everyone’s personality; they can bring joy, sadness, can make you laugh or get scared, leaving marks as memories. To be part of that is priceless.

Margaret Birt recently started a new project in her life titled Becoming an Editor. She’s moved on from her first timeline and started working on Humber_Y2. As she progresses through expanding her new timeline and many others she intends to create multiple tracks that showcase her knowledge of AVID, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Logic and other post-production software. As well as create some experimental timelines to test out directing and writing. Through the process of the project Margaret would like to be able to create films that have a great emotional impact in her viewers. She would like her viewers to think as much about the outcome of the film as she thinks about every cut she make within the film. Mostly, she wants to make films that help shed a light on the LGBT community and those within it. Whether it be actually portraying a queer relationship in a fictional story or creating a non-fiction film about how LGBT communities are being treated differently around the world. With the support of her crew Margaret will export a project worth sharing.
